Passport size photo background change is best effort
Original keeps every source pixel. White, blue and red use an on-device subject mask that downloads about 36 MB only when first selected. Hair, transparent fabric and a busy background can produce imperfect edges.
If the edge preview is not clean, keep the original or retake the portrait against a plain wall with even light. LensUp does not hide the fallback and never blocks export when the model is unavailable.
