Frequently asked questions
Is it free? Are there limits?
It is free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no daily limit. A PDF can be up to 100 MB.
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. The PDF and your signature stay in your browser; nothing is sent to a server. The file you opened is not changed — you download a new copy.
Is this a digital signature?
No. It is a picture of your signature on the page, like signing a printout — it carries no certificate. Where a law or a portal asks for a qualified or certificate-based electronic signature, use a service that issues one.
Can I use a picture of my signature?
Yes. Choose Picture in the signature box. A PNG with a transparent background looks best; a photo of a signature on paper keeps its paper background. The picture stays on your device.
Can I sign in several places or on several pages?
Yes. Add the signature again for each place; every signature can be moved and resized on its own.
Can I sign a PDF on my phone?
Yes, in your phone’s browser — no app. Draw your signature with your finger, then place it on the page.
Can I sign a password-protected PDF?
Yes. A PDF with an open password opens once you type it, and the signed copy keeps the same password. A PDF locked only against changes opens too, and the copy does not keep those restrictions.
