Remove what’s under the covers?

A cover only hides: what is under it stays in the file and can be copied or found by search. Removing what is under the covers saves the whole file as pictures of its pages — the covered content is gone, and the text can no longer be selected or searched. Links and form fields are removed too.

Split or save pages

A comma starts a new part: 1-3, 4-6 is two parts. Your edits on these pages are included.

How do I delete a page from a PDF?

Open the PDF above and the page list opens. Pick the page — the second one, say — and press Delete the page (the bin). Do the same for any other page you want gone, then press Download edited PDF. The new PDF is written without those pages — free, with no sign-up and no upload.

How to delete pages from a PDF in three steps

  1. Open the PDFUp to 100 MB. A password-protected PDF asks for its password. The page list opens beside the pages — over them on a phone.
  2. Delete the pagesPick a page in the list and press the bin. Do it again for each page you want gone; Undo brings the last one back.
  3. Download the PDFPress Download edited PDF. The new file is written without the deleted pages; the file you opened is not changed.

Frequently asked questions

Is it free? Are there limits?

It is free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no daily limit. A PDF can be up to 100 MB.

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. The PDF is opened, changed and saved in your browser; nothing is sent to a server. The file you opened is not changed — you download a new copy.

Can I delete pages that are not next to each other?

Yes. Pick each page and press the bin, in any order. To keep only a few pages of a long PDF, Split or save pages is quicker: type the pages to keep, for example 1-3, 5, and press All in one PDF.

Is a deleted page really gone from the file?

Yes. The PDF is written anew without it, so the page is not just hidden. A bookmark that led to it is removed — one with bookmarks under it stays, with its title, but leads nowhere — and a form field that was only on it goes with it; a picture or font it shared with a page you keep stays, for that page.

Does deleting pages make the PDF smaller?

Often, but not always: a picture or font that a deleted page shared with the pages you keep stays in the file. To make a PDF smaller, use Compress PDF to a size, linked below.

Can I undo deleting a page?

Yes. Undo brings back the page you deleted last, while the file is still open. Even after you download, the PDF you opened is unchanged.

Can I delete pages from a password-protected PDF?

Yes. A PDF with an open password opens once you type it, and the new file keeps the same password. A PDF locked only against changes opens too, and the new file does not keep those restrictions.

Can I delete a page from a PDF on my phone?

Yes, in your phone’s browser — no app. There the page list covers the pages: tap a page to pick it, then tap the bin. Tap Pages to see the result.

What happens to a digitally signed PDF?

The new file is a changed copy, so a digital signature in it is not valid any more. Where the signature will be checked, send the original PDF.
